Shakti was the first and the last movie where
Bollywood's two giants, the legendary Dilip Kumar and the then rising super
star Amitabh Bachchan met each other. The wonderman Ramesh Sippy put the two
mega stars face to face with each other in more than a dozen scenes with
powerful dialogues and superb acting performances.
Shakti was released in 1982 by the same director who had earlier made two
super hits with Amitabh Bachchan, Sholay in 1975 and Shaan 1980. Even though
the movie didn't do good on the cruel box office, Shakti is and will remain
as one of the most memorable movies ever made in Bollywood where the public
enjoyed two mega stars of Bollywood.
