Originally a remake of the 1954 Hollywood film Seven Brides for Seven
Brothers, Satte pe Satta is a great comedy drama with some melodious tracks
by maestro R D Burman.
Satte Pe Satta was released in 1982 and was one of Raj N. Sippy's early
movies. The same director has made several movies during the 80's including
Qayamat, Satyamev Jayate,
Jeeva,
Loha and serveral more. Satte Pe Satta had a lead cast of Amitabh
Bachchan and the dream girl Hema Malini. The success of the movie is
therefore understandible.
