Sangam
is the story of two friends and thier love with the same girl. Released in
1964 it was one of the biggest hits of the decade and its music has still
its magic on people. "Dost dost na raha" and "Yeh mera prem pathr pad kar"
are the evergreen songs.
Raj Kapoor behind the camera means classy cinemotography and artistic scenes
and Sangam gives you all that. Vaijyanti Mala is amazing in her role and she
is shot with class by the showman.
One interesting history connected with the film is that originally Dilip
Kumar was offered to play the role of Rajendra Kumar. But he refused to do
that after hearing that Raj Kapoor himself would be directing the film.
